Questions
Does it work offline?
Yes. Check-in, photos and proof seal are created on your phone, even without signal. Server time and verification link are added automatically once you are back online – for example in the marina in the evening.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone and – for server time, verification link and backup – with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. Your photos do not end up in your gallery, and we do not sell data.
What does the verification link prove?
That exactly this photo was registered with us at a specific time and has not changed since. It also shows capture time and position according to the phone. It does not judge what the photo shows – that is between you and the base.
What if the base doesn't accept the PDF?
Nobody can promise in advance how a base will weigh evidence. Charterproof makes sure your evidence is complete, organised and verifiable. That is the best basis for the conversation at check-out – and for anything that follows.
What about imported photos?
You can bring in photos and videos from your gallery or GoPro. They are marked as imported: fingerprint and server time apply from the import. Capture time and location from the file are shown as a hint, because they cannot be verified.
Can I cancel?
The charter pass is a one-off purchase, not a subscription. You can cancel the year pass at any time for the end of the term in the App Store or on Google Play. Your evidence stays accessible afterwards.
